we change the iso because if we lower if we control the amount of light allowed in the shot.

lowering the aperture decreases the amount of detail over a wide range of area but increasing allows you to have a deep depth of field

Q3 – List four consideration your had to take into account when producing your pop-art photography. For example, depth of field, shadows etc)

shadows i got rid of by using a light box so this wasn't a problem

i needed a low depth of field because im not trying to capture a wide shot of lets say a detailed scenery i just wanted to focus on one object

Q4. Describe when would you choose to use the ‘A’ and the ‘P’ modes on a camera

he Program mode. This is the mode that I shoot in most of the time. The camera does the exposure and the focus. You can however set the exposure compensation, which is the only control (other than the flash) you need most of the time for snapshots. The nice thing about this mode is, it is completely automatic, but you have control over the flash, which is what you need for your snapshots.

The Automatic mode. This is what most people set when they look at a camera for the first time. The problem with this mode is that the camera will invariably choose the wrong moment to turn on the flash, usually ruining your planned picture. Really, just use mode P, and turn on the flash when you want it.

What is pop art?

Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the mid-1950s in Britain and the late 1950s in the United States. Among the early artists that shaped the pop art movement were Eduardo Paolozzi and Richard Hamilton in Britain, and Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns in the United States. Pop art presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular culture such as advertising and news. In pop art, material is sometimes visually removed from its known context, isolated, and/or combined with unrelated material.

Pop art is now most associated with the work of New York artists of the early 1960s such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, and Claes Oldenburg, but artists who drew on popular imagery were part of an international phenomenon in various cities from the mid-1950s onwards. Key features of pop art

Pop art was mainly seen in consumer products and advertising, making it highly reachable for everyone. It is mainly characterized for its simple and everyday images as well as its use of block colours, but it has other features.

Also common is the use of everyday objects or images as the centerpiece of an artistic work, exalting the banal and seemingly worthless as a unique object, as with the famous Campbell's Soup by Andy Warhol used in one of his best known works. It is a bold step in the discussion of what is art and what are its limits, using a mass-produced item without an obvious aesthetic or artistic value as a cornerstone in the history of modern art.

this would be perfect becasue of the positioning off the lighting becasue they exclude all of the shadows creating the perfect shadowless picture getting a crisp quality picture of the prop.
the only problem we have iswe only have access to 2 lights whcih will be placed where EL1 and EL2 are so we wont be able to exclude all shadows but try and get rid of the shadow as much as we can.

Proposal

I am going to create a piece of art in the style of pop art using my own shots that I will be taking of items that I have brought in to take a shot of. I’m going to be bringing in a bottle of Disaronno a bottle of Smart water and tub of Pringles my red trainers some Radox shower gel and I’m going to take a shot of a wine bottle that I see inside the classroom. I chose these objects because they are colourful and also everyday items. Instead of a seamless background to help take my images I used a soft box instead and shoot the images from above.

Then I am going to upload them to Photoshop in which I will then create a pop art piece by using the same image but with different backgrounds and even change the hue and saturation of my image to make it pop more. I was going to create the one where I have a montage of my image because the cartoon effect would have been time consuming and quite a hard task as I have not come across that type of editing yet.

My purpose of all this is to show that I have a clear understanding of pop art and able to create a piece of pop art in which I would then put on display on black card to help my bright image pop
